Mike Langford: Kyoto Ryokan

Mike Langford - Canon Master

On a day where I was held up in my hotel room in Kyoto with a sprained foot, I took the time to hang out on the balcony of my Ryokan and photograph the street below.

It was raining and all the surfaces were shining. The shapes and colours of umbrellas where what was attracting my attention so it was just a matter of waiting and watching until something happened that made me want to press the shutter.

This was the shot I liked most:-
