Mike Langford: Monet Inspired Autumn

Mike Langford - Canon Master

After going to an exhibition of paintings by Monet from later in his life when he had serious cataracts on his eyes, both Jackie & myself came out into Uneo Park in central Tokyo and started to try and make photographs in that same style - structured yet slightly out of focus. To achieve this I took my first frame totally out of focus and then multiple exposed a second frame in focus over the top of the previous image in camera. This was a little random as I wasn’t on a tripod and so there was a bit of hit and miss with it lining up. This frame pretty much achieved what I was after though.
