Mike Langford: Stirling Falls Abstract

Mike Langford - Canon Master

Taken on our QCCP ‘Fiordland’ workshop from inside the boat as it pulled into the Stirling falls. I had seen this happen many times before and so was ready to photograph it before it happened. All the passengers are encouraged to put on wet weather gear and to go out and stand on the front deck to photograph. By staying inside and focusing on the water droplets on the window, I stayed dry and achieved this beautiful coloured abstract.

Canon 5DS, EF 16-35 f/4L IS USM, Focal length 18mm

1/160 sec, f/8 ISO 400

Landscape picture style, +3 contrast +3 Saturation, Cloudy white balance
