Michael Bradley is based in Auckland, New Zealand and specialises in Commercial, Food, Editorial and Sports photography.
With nearly two decades of experience Michael is meeting the photographic needs of a diverse list of clients.
Michael works for a wide range of corporate clients and sporting organisations including the ANZ Bank Ltd, SKYCITY, Foodstuffs, The Edge, Netball New Zealand, AFP, The Fred Hollows Foundation New Zealand, The Leprosy Mission New Zealand and is also a contract photographer for Fairfax Media.
Michael covers a number of major sporting events in New Zealand, is the official photographer for Netball New Zealand, the ANZ Championships netball and was the Official Photographer for the 2007 and 2011 World Netball Championships. Michael has also covered two Commonwealth Games in England and Australia and is off to his third in Glasgow in July 2014.
Michael is primarily a location photographer whose strength is working closely with his clients to achieve the results they require.
When not shooting for his clients or chasing after his three young boys, Michael can be found shooting on his large format camera, using the 1850's technique of wet plate photography. This process is done by pouring chemicals onto a plate (either glass or metal) and then exposing and developing the plate while the plate is still wet. A process that is extremely time consuming but produces one off original plates.
