Taranaki Contrasts

The clouds moved in threatening to conceal the sun-kissed Mt Taranaki. I was panicked and crossed my fingers hoping that the clear skies would hold for another 20mins. I had got a shot with a nice clear sky that i was relatively happy with, but i knew the sunset wasn’t yet at its best. I felt a sense of impending doom as a blanket of grey crept into the frame. What i hadn’t considered was the extra level of drama this would bring to my vision. As the darkness descended, i realised what a blessing it was. The contrast of night vs day, light vs dark speaks volumes of the anxieties we face.
